Matthew J. Blitz, MD, MBA, is a resident physician in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System in New York. He completed his medical and business education at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine and Marshall School of Business, respectively. He is Founder and Executive Director of the Association for the Advancement of Physician Business Education (AAPBE). During medical school, he also helped manage health workforce development programs at seven California hospitals. Dr. Blitz’s research interests include the cognitive and economic benefits of breastfeeding and the molecular epidemiology of preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome and hyperemesis gravidarum.
